May
9, 2003: True love knows no bounds, respects no boarders, can occur at
great distances, and may even be found in cyberspace. What started
as a click of a mouse has transformed two families and two lovers into a
unique union that is
today being celebrated in all its glory. And so, on May 9th, the promise of True Love was
fulfilled as Cherry De Luna
wed her "internet" sweetheart Chris
Nilsen.
Having met "online" Cherry & Chris soon found out that it didn't matter that she lived in Manila (Philippines) and he in Manassas (VA,USA). After months of cyber-dating the stage was set for this very day. Sure there were obstacles to overcome like obtaining Visas and gaining the support of both families and friends. But....love always makes the impossible possible. And so, without hesitation, Chris brought his lovely bride Cherry to America to marry, have, and hold him till death do they part.
This then, is a visual "short story" of their blessed day. It all began for Cherry
with a trip to
Vidar Roger Hair Hair Designs* (Manassas VA)
with two of her bridesmaids
Amy &
Lori and the
groom's mother,
Barbara , in tow.
Of course the focus here was on getting Cherry
ready
for her "walk down the aisle" which was expertly done by the vivacious as well
as talented stylist...
Cathy Birog-Booth*.
Cathy even got some
assistance from Lena,
one of the "Flower Girls". Everyone wanted in on the
action. The final
preparation was fitting the
veil. But first it had to be
tested out.
During the whole visit, Cherry was
receiving constant
phone calls....some from well wishers but mostly from a nervous, soon to be husband, Chris.
All in all everything went as
planned thanks to the
tremendous
owner & staff at the salon.
Cherry &
company were then
off to complete
their preparations at home...
