On
October 2, 2008, Westat
held its
Annual Staff
Meeting in 
Rockville,
Maryland.
Staff arrived, 
signed
in, 
donned nametags, 
posed for photos, and
socialized a bit before the
start of
the meeting.
This year's
meeting
was very well 
attended,
with standing room only in the ballroom.
As usual, an 
upbeat mood prevailed.
In his remarks, 
President
Joe Hunt reviewed the
successful 2008 procurement year and discussed the
goals of both
ongoing and new programs. He thanked employees for Westat's
accomplishments and continued success.
His presentation and this year's theme of "The Splendor of Autumn" were highlighted by superb graphics....

Department.
The Autumn
theme was further accentuated by
small pumpkins, fall leaves, and other items placed around the
buffet tables.
Each table had its own unique Autumn
food
theme such as 
Farmers Market,
Autumn
Along the Gulf Coast,
and 
Oktoberfest.
At the 
conclusion of
the President's program, staff were able to sample a wide 
variety of 
tasty
food and 
drink while 
socializing in an
informal 
atmosphere.
